O Level Biology Tuition Programme Overview

Biology is offered at the O Level exams to secondary school students who wish to lay a strong foundation in preparation for higher level studies in Biology and a possible career in the life science or pharmaceutical industries. Unlike the other 2 core pure science subjects, Physics and Chemistry, the Biology O-level syllabus is a content heavy subject focusing on concepts and processes.

Most students, when first introduced to the subject, often struggle with the deluge of information thrown at them by the content heavy syllabus.

Our students will be coached by highly experienced, doctoral level tutors who are all well versed in utilising a combination of appropriate strategies in teaching topics in an approach which features a wide variety of learning experiences designed to promote interest and inquiry.

Skills imparted in our programme

Our O Level Biology Tuition Programme aims to enable students to:

1.  Acquire knowledge and skills to be suitably prepared for studies beyond Ordinary Level in Biology, in applied sciences or in science related courses, through conducting well-designed studies of experimental and practical Biology,

2. Develop abilities and skills that are relevant to the study and practice of science, useful in everyday life, encourage efficient, safe practice and effective communication.

3. Develop attitudes relevant to science such as concern for accuracy and precision, objectivity, integrity, inquiry, initiative and inventiveness.

4. Stimulate interest in and care for the local and global environment.
